PULTRUDED FRP GRATING

Pultruded FRP gratings are made of a matrix of polyester resin. The reinforcement is achieved by a combination of fibreglass mats and rovings with a glass content of approx. 65%.

The most important feature of FRP pultruded grating is higher loading capacity than molded FRP grating due to the fact that the glass to resin ratio is higher in the bearing bar direction. This reflects in a reduction of support structures and lower costs. Pultruded grating is often used where spans are longer than molded grating can allow, and chemical resistance requirements aren't as high.
